In this way, the zoom uses your camera to determine where your face is on the screen and turns it into a cartoon figure when avatars are turned on. So now you can be represented in the call as a charming animal instead of yourself!

The coolest thing is that you can choose between eleven different animals at the time of writing. Among them are cats, foxes, polar bears, pandas and raccoons. Each is available in a different version and outfits.

This feature, according to Zoom, does not employ facial recognition. Therefore, people cannot determine who you are. Enabling Zoom Avatars.

Go to the Zoom web settings page to test your avatar's abilities. Go to the “avatars” section of the “In Meeting” (Advanced) category. This is where you should enable this. If you can't do this and want to use the feature, please contact your account administrator.

Learn How to Use Zoom Avatars.

• Access Zoom on your mobile device or computer.
• Turn on your camera. You don't need to enable it yet.
• Hover over the meeting window. Next to Stop/Start Video, click the up arrow.
• Select Choose video filter.

• Select the animal avatar you want to use. You should see it reflected in the preview window. Otherwise, make sure your camera is pointing at your face.
• Close the window. If you haven't already, click Start Video so everyone in the meeting can see your 3D drawing version.
