• Have your driver's license printed and already identified with a QR Code on the back.
• If the driver does not yet have a digital certificate, they will have to register on the Denatran portal or go to a Detran service location.
• The App is as CDT – Digital Traffic Card, it is available in Android and IOS versions.
• Access to the Application will be granted through an activation code. However, this code is forwarded by Denatran to the driver's email.
• After access, the driver must create a 4-digit password. This password will be necessary whenever you need to use or present your Digital Driver's License.

Requirements to Have a Digital Driver's License on your Cell Phone.

What are the requirements to obtain a digital driver's license? Anyone, if they are already qualified, can have access to their digital driver's license for free. However, your driving license must have the QR code on the back.

The QR code is available for all documents issued from 2017 onwards.

If your National Driving License does not yet have the QR Code, for this reason, the driver can wait until the renewal date, or pay in advance to obtain a duplicate.

So, there is no need to wait for your driver's license to expire to renew and request a new driver's license containing the QR Code.

The Digital CNH is issued by your cell phone, with and without the digital certificate. But if the driver is still unable to complete the process, they will need to appear at one of Detran's public service stations.

• You need to have the zip code of the place where you lived when your printed driver's license was issued.
• Then, using the CDT (Digital Traffic License) app, scan your QR code which will be on the back of your printed driver's license.

How to Download the Digital CNH.

The application can be found at App Store or Play Store, with the name CDT (Digital Traffic Card). Download.

If you don't already have a registration with the National Traffic Department, Denatran, you need to do so. You can access Denatran by here.

Right away:

• Fill in your CPF and click continue.
• Enter your details, such as name, date of birth, email address and password defined by you.
• The driver will receive an email to confirm their registration. Access it and follow the steps.
• Immediately after confirmation, within the App, click on the GREEN icon to include the transit document.
• Click on digital driver's license and enter your printed driver's license number.
• Click OK and then Download CNH.
• Create an access key, that is, a 4-digit PIN that will be used to access your Digital CNH.
• Complete your PIN registration.
• After that, your driver's license will already be on your cell phone screen.
